The first thing you want to investigate is the frequency range that the vibration monitor is working with. You have different monitors for measuring SBR-A and SBR-B. A device for measuring B has more frequency range and a larger measuring range. SBR-B must need to measure around ten times as accurate as SBR-A.
Every vibration monitor needs a filter that can filter out certain frequencies. When measuring vibrations, you do not want to measure vibrations below 1Hz. To measure the right frequencies, you can use a high-pass filter. With this, you will measure the right frequencies (1Hz-80Hz).
Finally, a good battery is particularly important. You do not want your project to have a downtime because a battery was not charged. Nowadays we have batteries that can last for around six days, and even when the battery is too low while you are still measuring, it is possible to charge it in the meantime. When you are working on a place without energy, it is important to have a good working battery that is fully charged.
