 News SGTC2 : Opening of additional [...] positions
We can no longer be stopped from newsing! This time, we announce you the mod release date (it will be announced soon, don't worry) opening of beta-tester positions!
After a big internal test of the mod by the whole devteam yesterday, we have decided that it was time to move on to more massive and intense game testing. Therefore, we open today the registration form for the application to a beta-tester position !
For the lucky ones who will be selected, the only thing to do will be to play as long as bugs remain in the mod or as long as the weapons are unbalanced (report writing will be required!)
Registrations are open for everyone, if you have a Source game (Hl², css, tf2, dod:s...) and if you can express yourself in a clear way (in french or english).
To register, it's easy: complete the following form.
Around ten positions are available at the moment (this number could be modified in the future), registrations start from today and end on Sunday, May 11, 2008 at 12h00 GMT+1 (Paris/Berlin hour).
The selected appliants will be contacted from May 4 and until the mod release.

 News SGTC2 : News of April, you know the drill..
About the mod progress, you'll be happy to know we are still making progress! We're now working on the linuw version (for servers). We're getting steadily closer to a first public release!
For those who missed the mod progress for the past few months, the first public version will contain 5 maps (sg2_temple, sg2_tollana, sg2_pilak, sg2_forest et sg2_sanctuary), 8 different player models (Oneill, Carter, Teal’c, Jackson, Jaffa, Horus guard, Anubis guard and Snake guard) as well as a dozen of weapons among which : p90, staff,Zat'Nik'Tel, TACs, TER...
To cheer up this news, here are screens for Temple, where you can see our TAC models (a kind of mini defensive turret) and GACs (goa'uld flash grenades)

 **News SGTC2**
The SGTC 2 devteam has the pleasure to come back with a lot of good news!
In barely 2 months, we have indeed reached the 150 updates threshold. We are now setting about the internal alpha 0.3!
Here is a piece of the changelog since the alpha 0.1 version:
- Implementation of weapons such as the sniper PSg1, the medkit, the smoke grenade, the zat'arc weapon, the TER, the TAC and the GAC. - The HUD is now completed and fully functional. - Forest, Pilak and Temple are completed. - The Stargate fully works as intended. ( shots teleportation, Dial assistant… ) - Fix of arm model for the 1st person view. - Code optimisation - ...
After a short period without much animation, the Poll section gets reloaded with no less than 3 additional questions in the Poll section! As pictures are more vivid than a long text, here are some actual examples of what SGTC2 will be!

 ** SGTC Technical Contest **
SGTC Technical Contest

Dear guys mappers, dear chicks mappers.
During this month of June very sun-filled, the StargateTC team has thought for a while about how to make you suntan without any ray of sun, and we just found the solution : suntan with your screen glow, a fresh grenadine on the rocks next to you, your head full of crazy ideas and... the winning madness !!!
Indeed the StargateTC team offers you the chance, thanks to this wonderful mapping contest, to show to the entire world how Hammer use is familiar to you, and to show to us what you are capable of.
This contest, contrary to any other before, is compound with multiple events. Five events, precisely ! Each test will be about a key-step in a map construction ! Obviously, some events are going to require you knowledge (and your resourcefulness) about the Stargate universe ! Impressive, isn't it ? What is scheduled ? Debugging, Texturing, Enhancement, Lightning, and a map creation from scratch.
But this is not it ! What is more incredible is that there will be rewards, and not the slightest ones...
Also know that this contest will run with teams of three persons (or less) : this will allow mappers with any skill to take part in the show.
Let me tell you about the wonderful rewards you could win :- First rank : The map of the last challenge will be included in the singleplayer !
- Second rank : Each member of the team is going to have a bedroom in the SGC !
- Third rank : Each member of the team will get a desk at the NP Society !
- For all the mappers : Their names will be written on a locker in the SGC !
The best mappers could be hired in the StargateTC : Source development team !

 End of the multiplayer mod development
We have to write this news, even if it makes us sad. It will disappoint many fans.
Because of a different point of vue on the path StargateTC has to follow, we are forced to announce that Endolaylith is no longer our main programmer. Indeed, it is impossible to work in good conditions with him anymore. However, even if the code won't be released, we WILL release a new version with new things (e.g. maps, models, animations, sounds, ...).
We know that nothing will make you happy after this decision, but we are still proud to announce that StargateTC:Source and the singleplayer mod are still up and running, and you'll hear about us soon again !
We apology for the false hopes caused by this decision.

Hi English Fans!
Since 1.1 was delayed, i assumed you wanted some answers. Basicly we have had difficulty securing test events to assure no errors in design. Were sorry for this and will do our best to make sure the extra time is well worth it.

 Bad News !
 This is why you keep your pets in the back yard. Because you don't want them inside that colourful glow.
 This is a computer after being inside a burning house for a few hours.
Lesson: - Make sure your wiring is good in summer. - Animals like chueing on wires.
This is not my house.
There is bad news but it has nothing to do with a fire. I just wanted to get some attention.
You have probhably noticed that pritty much noone plays sgtc anymore. this is because of problems with gameplay. We are stuck in a development hole at the moment and it will take time to climb out.
If you have any experience with Sound or Animation please PM me on the forums so we can finish up the last work on those parts.
Also we will have a public prerelease version of sgtc 1.1 to assure the actual release is bug free. This may take time! But it will be sooner rather than later.
Please be patient. I am pushing as hard as i can without degrading quality.
